Armed police descend on school with students and staff on lockdown after 'suspicious phone call'

A faculty in Surrey is on lockdown as armed police examine experiences of a priority for security.

The Elmbridge Beat of Surrey Police tweeted: "Uniformed and armed officers at scene at Esher C of E Excessive College following experiences of a priority for security.

"Enquiries being carried out inside and out of doors premises to ascertain circumstances.

"College students and employees at college stay inside constructing as precaution right now. Additional updates to comply with."

A message seen by Surrey Stay from the college has knowledgeable mother and father that pupils are secure however they should not come to the college right now.

Surrey Police later confirmed they have been investigating inside and out of doors of the college attributable to a suspicious telephone name it acquired earlier this morning.

An announcement from Surrey Police confirmed: "We're persevering with to hold out enquiries following experiences of a priority for security at Esher C of E Excessive College earlier this morning.

"Officers have been known as to the college round 11.15am following experiences the college had acquired a suspicious telephone name.

"Uniformed and armed officers are persevering with to hold out enquiries each inside and out of doors the premises to ascertain the circumstances of the incident.
