Earth, Wind & Fire saxophonist Andrew Woolfolk dies aged 71

Woolfolk died on Sunday April 24 of undisclosed causes, with the band's frontman Philip Bailey taking to his Instagram on Monday to pay tribute to the "gifted" saxophonist.

Bailey stated Woolfolk had been unwell for six years as he penned an emotional farewell.

He wrote: "I met him in highschool, and we shortly grew to become mates and bandmates.

"Andrew Paul Woolfolk was his identify. We misplaced him in the present day, after being unwell for over 6 years.

"He has transitioned on to the ceaselessly, from this Land of the dying to the Land of the Residing.

"Nice recollections. Nice Expertise. Humorous. Aggressive. Fast witted. And at all times styling.

"Booski… I’ll see you on the opposite aspect, my pal."
