Former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows removed as North Carolina registered voter

An elections board in a North Carolina county has eliminated Mark Meadows, a former chief of employees to President Trump, from its record of registered voters after paperwork confirmed he lived in Virginia and voted within the 2021 election in that state.

Questions arose about Mark Meadows final month, when North Carolina Atty. Gen. Josh Stein’s workplace requested the State Bureau of Investigation to look into Meadows’ voter registration in Macon County in western North Carolina.

In asserting his elimination, the Macon County Board of Elections mentioned it has obtained no formal problem and is referring the matter to the SBI, the state Board of Elections mentioned Wednesday.
