Glendale mother arrested after baby shows signs of drug ingestion, police say

A 40-year-old Glendale mom was arrested this week after her child was rushed to the hospital twice in at some point exhibiting indicators of a drug overdose, authorities mentioned.

Gertrude Harutunian was arrested Thursday on suspicion of kid endangerment and possession of a managed substance, in keeping with the Glendale Police Division. The toddler — who's described as being below the age of 1 yr previous — is in secure situation and was taken into protecting custody, police mentioned.

Police and paramedics responded to stories of a kid not respiration at Harutunian’s dwelling within the 400 block of West Dryden Road on Wednesday, authorities mentioned. Paramedics discovered the toddler exhibiting indicators of drug ingestion and administered Narcan, or naloxone, which is used to counter the results of a narcotic overdose.
