A hearth has damaged out within the roof of a constructing in Deptford, east London.
Round 120 firefighters have rushed to the scene, with 20 fireplace engines trying to deal with the blaze
A complete of 13 individuals had been left within the constructing earlier than the brigade arrived, the London Fireplace Brigade mentioned.
It added that no accidents have been reported presently.
Station Commander Ian Smith mentioned: "That is an intense fireplace positioned within the roof of the constructing and fireplace crews are working exhausting in difficult situations. We have elevated the variety of fireplace engines due to the necessity for extra firefighters in respiration equipment.
"There's lots of smoke from the incident and we would ask native residents to shut their doorways and home windows."
The reason for the hearth just isn't recognized at this stage.
