Zac Thompson, 11, was rescued from the water at West Angle Bay in Pembroke, Wales on Friday after swimming close to the rocks.
He was airlifted from the seaside however sadly died in hospital.
In a tribute, Pembroke Dock Group College stated Zac had a “large zest for all times” and “was a well-liked and much-loved character”.
