‘House of the Dragon’ has fire-breathing debut on HBO

The premiere of the “Recreation of Thrones” prequel “Home of the Dragon” averaged a mixed 9.986 million viewers Sunday on HBO and HBO Max, probably the most for a sequence premiere on HBO, based on live-plus-same-day figures launched by the streaming service and Nielsen.
