The King and the Queen Consort have arrived on the Scottish Parliament, the place tributes will shortly be paid to Queen Elizabeth II as a part of a movement of condolence within the debating chamber.

“Queen Elizabeth, Queen of Scots – we're grateful for her life.

The King spoke about Queen Elizabeth II's "biggest admiration for the Scottish folks".
He stated: “I do know that Scottish Parliament and the folks of Scotland share with me a profound sense of grief on the dying of my beloved mom.
“Via all of the years of her reign, the Queen like so many generations of our household earlier than her, discovered within the hills of this land and within the hearts of its folks, a haven and residential.
“My mom felt, as I do, the best admiration for the Scottish folks for his or her magnificent achievements and their indomitable spirit.
