US ambassador to Sudan John Godfrey was taken to hospital after a site visitors incident on Wednesday, the US embassy in Khartoum stated.

"We will verify that Ambassador Godfrey and two different embassy workers had been concerned in a automotive accident in Khartoum, Sudan immediately," the embassy tweeted.
