To the editor: When he was president, Donald Trump obtained away with downplaying the pandemic, failing to produce states with badly wanted medical provides, rolling again environmental laws, claiming he was a genius and taking part in golf at each alternative. (“Biden is caught with a divided get together,” Jan. 20)

President Biden, having simply marked his first 12 months in workplace, is now being taken to job for not having solved each drawback, apparently because the world started.

Sure, Biden does make gaffes every now and then when he speaks. Even former President Obama, a perfectly eloquent orator, made them.

However does anybody keep in mind Trump saying Yosemite “yo, semite”?

What’s worse, even Biden’s personal get together can’t appear to present the person an opportunity. This might very effectively be deadly in 2024. We didn’t elect God; let’s give the person a good shot at correcting issues which were constructing for a while, not simply since January 21, 2021.

To the editor: If this previous 12 months han’t opened many eyes that Biden is less than the duty of operating this nation, then nothing will.

It looks like he has fouled up nearly all the pieces, together with the scenario on the U.S.-Mexico border, international relations, public security, the excessive price of dwelling, the pandemic and the Russian menace to Ukraine.

This president doesn't present the management that we want in these very harmful occasions. The general public senses that it made a mistake in voting for him final 12 months; does The Occasions Editorial Board remorse having endorsed him?

Marcus Kourtjian, Northridge

..

To the editor: The most important and most frequently missed success of the Biden administration’s first 12 months is that it has managed, despite the hypocrisy and outlandish lies of the Trumpist Republican Celebration, to revive a way of decency and civility to the White Home.

No quantity of political obstructionism can tarnish that glimmer of “regular” that has been returned to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
